Students of all ages and playing experience are welcome, including adult beginners.

You can choose whether to learn for your own enjoyment or concentrate on serious study.

Lessons cover every aspect of guitar playing from solo pieces through to chords and song accompaniment. You will also learn music theory relevant to guitar playing.

Music styles covered included classical, folk, early music (pre-1800), world music, blues and flamenco.

Learning to play the guitar is like having a round-the-world plane ticket. The guitar can take you to so many different places, cultures and times. It truely is the most versatile of instruments.

I offer advice and assistance in the purchase of your first guitar and recommend a nylon strung guitar for the fingerstyle method that I teach.

For more than 2 decades, I’ve been teaching music to both children and adults. I have taught in Australia, New Zealand, Belgium and France.
