Hi,

my name is Sam and I have been playing the guitar for over 25 years, with 10 years of guitar teaching experience. My work has ranged from teaching in primary schools to adult tuition’s. I have been with Meagan Birch Music Tuition’s for over 6 years now in a number of primary schools around the Geelong and coastal areas. I am also currently working in the Yarraville West Music Program for Yarraville West Primary School and Belmont Primary school with the Wright Guitar Teacher

I have had years of experience working with children. This is not only with guitar but in the classroom as well. I worked as an Integration Aide at North Fitzroy Primary school and have also had plenty of experience working with children in the classroom as a whole.

I tailor lessons to specific needs and desires for all ages, whether it be: your first time picking up the guitar, learning your favourite song, method and theory work, improvisation and jamming, chord progressions or playing your favourite rock solo. I can cater for anything you would like to achieve.

My real passion for guitar is Rock music but I believe that it is important to learn many different styles of music to becoming a well rounded, versatile guitar player.

The guitar is an amazing instrument to learn and can open up so many possibilities for you, as it still does for me including: meeting new people, starting up bands, live band performances, solo performances, session work, studio recording work, cd launches ect..the list goes on.

Have been working in primary schools and music programs for over 10 years now. With the majority of my experience working with children in classrooms and teaching Guitar and Ukulele lessons in schools. This includes: private and group lessons, as well as school band and school concert performances. Over 25 years guitar experience. Can easily cater lessons for what ever suites your needs! AMEB and ANZCA preliminary – grade 2 preparation for method and theory work, chords, TAB and any songs you would like to learn. Current WWC (working with children check).
