Peter Reed

Peter started playing the trumpet in the second grade when he was allowed to join the school band. He soon developed a love of music and all types of instruments!

He completed a Bachelor of Jazz studies at CQU in 2007, specialising in brass instruments. He then went on to travel to the Americas and through Asia, learning about different styles of music as he went.

He started teaching music at 14 years of age, when he taught his then 6 year old brother and 2 year old sister how to play the trumpet. His brother is now studying trumpet at UQ, and went on a Queensland tour with James Morrison last year!

Peter believes everyone is capable of learning music, and
no one is to young or too old to pick up the skill!
