Hey there, My name is Nathan Slater, I’m a guitarist and composer currently living in Brunswick east and have openings for new students. A bit about me! I’ve been playing guitar as a profession with different bands and solo concerts locally, nationally, and internationally for over 14 years. Before that I studied with some of the best guitarists in Australia and have a bachelor of music performance from the Victorian College of the Arts. I specialize in the acoustic guitar and have extensive experience playing styles from flamenco, tango, classical, brazilian music, jazz to pop. I’ve also taught at many music schools around Melbourne including The Victorian College of the Arts, Allan’s music, Richmond music Academy, Ivanhoe school of music, guitar paradise, as well as a number of high schools. I also conducted a workshop at the Adelaide international guitar festival earlier this year. Hey there!

My name is Nathan Slater, I’m a guitarist and teacher currently living in Brunswick east and have openings for new students.

A bit about me… I’ve been playing guitar as a profession for over 12 years in Melbourne, I’ve performed, recorded, and toured internationally with some of the finest musicians in Australia. A few highlights have been – The Adelaide International Guitar Festival in 2014 where I also conducted a workshop on Guitar Techniques and rhythms also the Melbourne International Jazz Festival 2014, Stonington Jazz festival 2013, Freedman Fellowship Sydney opera house 2014 and 2013 to name a few.

I finished my Bachelor of Music Performance from the Victorian College of the Arts in 2007 and have extensive experience teaching privately and in schools around Melbourne including The Victorian College of the Arts, Allan’s music, Richmond music Academy, Ivanhoe school of music, guitar paradise, as well as a number of high schools.. I teach ALL LEVELS so If you are interested in learning to play the guitar or already play and want to extend certain areas of your playing shoot me an email and we can organise a lesson or regular lesson time.
