I have played music professionally, playing both the piano and guitar for over 30years. I am able to teach the finger picking techniques, plectrum technique, the theory of chords and scales,
as applied to rock, folk, pop, jazz, blues etc.
Also I am familiar with modern digital recording and use of music software ( as I write music for film and documentaries).
I teach guitar, piano, singing, composing/song writing.

• Classically trained pianist (AMEB,Melb State College) composer, teacher.

• Played and taught professionally for 30 years. • Experienced in playing jazz, pop, Afro Cuban, chamber music, theatre, as session musician , recording production, arranging and song writing. • Have taught as many adult students as children, either as beginners or returning to lessons from childhood or even professionals who want more refined training. • Lessons are tailored to students’ needs and aspirations but emphasis is put on practice methods and ear training. • The practice methods I teach are proven to universally work with a 6 year old or a 65 year old. • Taking exams, or not, is the students’ decision. • Most of my students who apply for tertiary music have successful auditions. • Lesson Rates: $30 /half hour , $50 / full hour. • I also teach guitar and singing and play percussion, electric bass and Ukelele ….:)
