Michael has over 33 years teaching experience in Queensland in many primary and secondary schools as well as having served as a university lecturer in music and guitar. He is a professional musician in many genres and styles playing classical, acoustic and electric guitars.

He provides individualised tuition using sequenced approaches to technique and repertoire in a friendly atmosphere of discipline that engages the student as an owner of the process of learning. The aim is to deliver flexible, task oriented means to achieve goals appropriate to the student’s learning path.

Multi -Style guitarist and composer. Teaches theory and practical tuition on guitar in Classical repertoire, Modern Jazz and Jazz-Rock Fusion, Blues and Flamenco.

Has performed at many festivals, music venues, etc.
