I am a proffessional brazilian guitarist with a bachelor of music majoring in the guitar and over 10 years teaching experience.

I am specialized in Brazilian jazz guitar style. The Brazilian guitar playing style mixes the Jazz approach – being the improvisation an essential element-, with the Classical technique, creating a dynamic sound but at the same time a very smooth touch.

The study of Brazilian Guitar covers building chords, analysing and learning all the harmonic fields and their respective scales, arpeggios and also styles such as Bossa Nova, Samba and Choro.

The practical training includes right – hand techniques, syncopation, key transposition and solos using the whole neck extension. I very much look forward to the opportunity to meet with you; furthermore, I am eager and excited to share my passion of guitar and teaching. I am a professional guitar player from Brazil with a bachelor in music majoring in the guitar and over 17 years teaching experience. Moving to Australia in August 2007, Mauricio ha’s been developing his career as a professional guitarist and music teacher, having shared the stage with names such as James Morrison, Darlene Zschech, Will Reagan, Jeremy Fowler, Bec Laughton, The Idea of North and worked in projects such as TECP, Para Você, Raw Company Untapped and Coisa Linda among others.
