MATTHEWS TYSON has been teaching classical guitar and orchestral stringed instruments for over 40 years. He is well known as an examiner of music all over Australia, New Zealand, Italy and Asia. Matthews Tyson is also the Director of the St Cecilia School of Music as well as the Australian Society of Musicology and Composition.

He is the Director of the St Cecilia School of Music & Examinations as well as the Australian Society of Musicology and Composition. He provides tuition principally in Launceston, Tasmania but conducts masterclasses and private lessons to students throughout Australia, New Zealand, Italy and parts of Asia. His lessons are comprehensive, concentrated and well-structured. His many successful students are now performers and teachers themselves and are a testament to his vast skill and knowledge.
