Guitar Lessons

One on one Guitar Lessons

Every student is unique!

I like to get to know the student, so I can tailor my lessons
to suit their level and what they wish to learn. Some
students are happy to play a song they love while others have
higher goals.

I teach in an uncomplicated manner that is easy to grasp
and fun to learn!

I can teach all styles and have a limitless repertoire of music
to draw upon. (thanks to the internet)

I make sure that all students learn to:

Understand the basics.

Sight read with ease.

Have a firm grasp of usable theory.

Be able to work out music by ear.

And most importantly have fun!

I also teach students to improvise, with many writing and
recording their own songs during their lessons.
(This may not be for everyone, but all students find this a
truly amazing & rewarding experience.)

AMEB exams are also available for students who wish to reach
higher levels.

The weekly lessons are on a term by term basis and payment for
the whole term is due within 7 days. We follow the Government
School Terms (generally 10 – 12 weeks per term) Students can
join at any stage throughout the term, we simply bill them for
the remainder of the term.

I also teach during the holidays and have holiday programs.
I am available for guitar workshops as well. These are great for a group situation, giving everyone a basic understanding of the guitar in a fun atmosphere.

Term Lessons are $35 per half hour. (Paid in advance)
Casual Lessons are $37 per half hour.

Hi, my name is Mat Creedon.

I am a fully qualified instrumental/music teacher with
28+ years private teaching & music industry experience.
I run my own private studio where I teach Guitar, Piano,
Bass, Drums, Violin, Banjo, Mandolin, Sitar, Ukulele, Flute, Theremin, songwriting, composition, Pro Tools and recording techniques.

I teach all styles, beginners to advanced, all ages from 6 years to
adults. AMEB Exams are also available.

Music lessons should be fun, exciting and rewarding!
I love teaching and watching my students grow at their own pace. I respect that each student is an individual and tailor lessons to suit their needs.

I also teach to groups of people, these are called Workshops. Workshops are excellent for groups who would like to be introduced to a particular instrument or even learn some song writing tips. I’m very flexible as to where you would like to hold a workshop. Cafes, schools, pubs, community houses, even a private dinner party can be great places to come together and learn in a fun environment. Email or call me about your next event.
