This is comprehensive tuition which includes music appreciation, interpretation, solo and ensemble skills, ear training, music theory and some basic introduction to composition.

Mark Norton

Mark has established himself as one of Australia’s leading guitarists. He won first prize in the Australian National Guitar Competition in 1992, and spent 10 years performing and recording with Australia’s Premier guitar quartet Guitar Trek.

Concert engagements have included national broadcasts for the ABC, solo recitals in most major Australian cities and many regional areas; performances at the Adelaide International Arts Festival, the Darwin International Guitar Festival and appearances as a concerto soloist with orchestra.

Mark is an experienced and dedicated teacher. Following eight years on the faculty of the Canberra School of Music, ANU, he has continually pursued his interest in teaching through several schools throughout Canberra, panelling tertiary guitar recitals at the ANU every year, and composing music for the guitar.
