A professional teacher with over ten years experience teaching children and adults of all ages. He is a friendly and passionate guitar teacher who plays guitar professionally in bands which play in weddings, corporate functions and in pubs around Victoria. He is also currently working as a general primary school teacher.

I like to teach my students in an environment that is fun, engaging and relaxing. I understand that children learn and pick up new information differently, I strive to understand and acknowledge these differences and work with the student, so they learn to their fullest potential. My aim is to provide students with the self confidence that they need to be dedicated and persistent, so they find themselves enjoying the process of learning their new instrument, and not wanting to give up just because it’s too hard or they find it boring.

My lessons are taylored to suit the needs and wants of my student. Whether they are picking up the guitar as a hobby, or they are needing some guitar tutoring for VCE music or they just want to learn a few chords so they are able to sing and play around a campfire.

My lessons may include reading music, learning how to play scales, arpeggios, chords, left and right hand techniques, rhythm, music theory, song writing/composition, learn your favourite songs and ear training (aural).

The lessons can take place at my house or your house whichever you prefer. I am prepared to travel within a 15km radius from Laverton. If you don’t have a guitar, that’s ok I have guitars (half size and full size) for hire.

I have a full Working With Children Check, Registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching, I have a Bachelor of Music from RMIT University and a Masters Degree in Teaching (Primary) from Melbourne University.
