I am Jeremy, a drummer, guitarist, bassist and composer based in Melbourne. I completed my Bachelor of Fine Arts (Contemporary Music) at the Victorian College of the Arts in November 2015 and would be best suited to students ranging from beginner to intermediate.

I also have 4 years background in childcare and am well experienced in teaching young students in an exciting and engaging manner. It is my philosophy that the best way for children to gain a fruitful entry into the world of playing music is to have fun!

For more advanced students I am able to focus on improvisation, reading, rhythmic concepts, dynamics and composition.

Jeremy Schiftan

I am Jeremy, a 29 year old drummer, guitarist and composer based in Melbourne. I have been playing music for over 10 years and working as a live and studio drummer for 8 years. In this time I have worked with a range of local bands in styles such as Rock, Reggae, Hip Hop, Folk, Blues, Jazz, Pop, Disco, Soul and Funk. I have completed a Bachelor of Contemporary Music at Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) and am suited to students ranging from beginner to advanced.

In addition to musical credentials I have 4 years’ experience in childcare and am well versed in teaching young students in an exciting and engaging manner. It is my philosophy that the best way for children to gain a fruitful entry into the world of playing music is to have fun and develop an intuitive engagement with the process whilst forming foundational skills.

For more advanced students I am able to work on reading, theory, aural skills, composition, improvisation, tone, groove, dynamics and ensemble playing. My main focus is tailoring lessons to your needs and ambitions as a musician.
