Whether you are simply learning for fun, to tackle that next exam or to prepare for that school concert, whatever your goals are, it would be my pleasure to guide you on your journey. My teaching focuses on developing a confident technique, an in-depth understanding of repertoire, historical context, theory and aural skills in a fun and happy learning environment. Musicians of all ages, from the very young to adults, are all welcome.

There is music within us all! It allows us to emotionally communicate and express ourselves and I hope to foster this love for music in all my students.

Jack Mao

Jack Mao is currently studying a Bachelor of Music (Hons), majoring in piano performance under Elizabeth Green and a Bachelor of Education at the University of New South Wales. He has also studied music at the University of Colorado Boulder under Dr. Andrew Cooperstock and Dr. Jennifer Hayghe. This year, he will travel to Germany to participate at the Saarburg International Music Festival and School. He has extensive experience performing on both the piano and the guitar. Recently, he was a prizewinner in piano at the Sydney Eisteddfod.

Jack has an innate passion for teaching and aims to inspire and guide his students towards achieving their goals and dreams. He loves working with each student individually, watching them perform and nurturing them into musicians. Outside music, he loves reading, cooking, games and travelling!
