Fergus Deasy

My name is Fergus Deasy

I am a guitar/piano/singing teacher from Fremantle

Being very passionate about music and having had many years playing as a session musician in many bands over the years I feel I’d like to pass on my experiences and share my musical journey to help teach our up and coming little musicians.

From 2001 to 2005 I played as a session/stage guitarist for Perth band Eskimo Joe. This was my first introduction in to touring nationally and learning how it all works out there on the rockin ‘n’ roll road.
After leaving Eskimo Joe I lived and worked in London for a year also playing with other musicians and working as a guitar tech for my fellow Aussies that came over to tour the UK.

When I returned to Australia I immediately joined another Perth band, Little Birdy. I was employed as the bands touring keyboardist, guitarist, and also sang all backing vocals for Little Birdy vocalist Katy Steele. During this time I also toured as a stage tech for artists like John Butler Trio, Gyroscope, Jebediah and many more….
For 15 years I travelled with bands playing all festivals, many television shows and loads of other fun shows celebrating music all over the world!

I am great with children and thoroughly enjoy seeing a little face light up when they strum a chord and realise how great it is to play music with others.
