Vocal Pedagogue, Music Teacher

Teaching Biography

Eddie Gazani has been performing as a professional singer and guitarist for more than 17 years.

He has taught voice, guitar and music theory throughout his career. He is an expert in the practice of singing performance and technique: from classical to jazz, pop to musical theatre, but also rock and world music. He also teaches improvisation, harmony and vocal arrangements.

His experience includes the teaching of individual students on a one to one basis as well as small groups, right through to larger groups of mixed instrument tutoring. He has taught students of all ages ranging from 7 years old to 60 years old, and has also prepared and taken many students successfully through musical exams.

He has been the musical director and producer of countless musical projects; from stage bands, jazz ensembles, vocal choirs to world music projects. He has had the chance to perform and run voice, guitar and music workshops nationally and internationally.

He has been awarded a Master of music studies from the Griffith Conservatorium, specializing in vocal pedagogy. He also holds a Certificate in Jazz Voice from the Griffith Conservatorium where he has studied under Irene Bartlett. Eddie also attained a Certificate of music technology from the City of Westminster college of Music in London.

In the early 2000’s, Eddie has studied classical voice with Sabrina Mogentale, an Italian soprano whose engagement with Torino Opera makes her one of best classical voice educators in Italy. He has also studied theory, harmony and arrangement with Tony 7 Cordas, one of the most respected musical directors and arrangers in Brazil to date.

Eddie has attended numerous master-classes including classes with Australian Jazz singer Michelle Nichole and modern Jazz guru Hermeto Pascoal.
