Guitar Lessons

Eamon offers lessons in guitar, theory, composition and aural training.

Currently teaching in three of Melbourne’s leading schools, Eamon utilises an interactive and engaging teaching method that caters for a wide variety of learning styles.

Lessons are designed to help you engage with your musical interests.

He can help you develop your expression in a range of styles including Classical, Contemporary, Rock, Pop, Jazz, Folk and Latin Guitar.

Depending on your interests, guidance can be provided with: playing chords, improvising, reading notation/tablature, learning by ear, mastering your favourite riffs, writing your own music, performing confidently to an audience, preparing for an AMEB, ANZCA or VCE exam.

During the week, Eamon teaches at his residence near the Abbotsford Convent. He also takes students on Saturdays during the school term in a light filled studio on Cotham Rd, Kew.

Eamon Roy

Eamon Roy is Melbourne-based guitarist and composer. He is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School and holds a Bachelor of Music Performance, awarded by the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. Over the years, he has studied under some of Australia’s leading exponents of the guitar including Tonie Field (Australian Guitar Quartet) and Doug de Vries (all things Brazilian).

As an active contributor to the Melbourne music scene, Eamon performs regularly in venues around town. Some of his current musical projects include the four piece original group ‘Windari’, Brazilian ensembles the ‘Eamon and Dudi Project’, ‘Altija’ and ‘Quarteto Curio’, Indie pop band ‘McRobin’ and a songwriting venture known as ‘Wet Weather Play’, where he performs his original works.

Eamon holds a current WWC and has experience teaching students with learning disabilities.
