Guitar lessons

I offer instrumental guitar lessons starting from beginner up to advanced levels. My lessons aim to develop performance, sight-reading, aural skills with an understanding of theory and notation. Additionally I offer improvisational skills for folk and contemporary styles of tuition.

Daniel Tedford

I teach beginner to advanced levels on violin, guitar, mandolin, tenor banjo, viola and bass guitar. My approach to teaching each instrument emphasises proper technique to ensure peak development of learning skills and preventing long term injury.

Coming from a background in classical studies with many years performing contemporary and various folk styles, my lessons offer a wide range of pieces to learn technical skills and diverse knowledge to each instrument.

I believe that an understanding of theoretical knowledge creates a sound foundation for students to further apply their musical skills outside of lessons and private practice. I respect the student’s interests and set goals based on what they would like to achieve, striving to meet the aims of their expectations during our lessons.
