Guitar Lessons

Guitar lessons for all skill levels and styles. I teach things that are relevant to the student’s specific goals interests, while also broadening their musical vocabulary. Advanced lessons cover subjects such as technique, theory, imrovisation. For the beginner, I guide the student through basic chords and learning their favourite songs. Of course, the student’s interests are taken into consideration when planning lessons.

I am a musician based in Rosanna, where my teaching studio is located.

I hold a Bachelor of Music Performance from the VCA and am currently completing a Masters of Teaching (Early Childhood and Primary) at Deakin University.

Having performed in bands for the last 10 years, I have a knowledge of a wide variety of music styles and can help you learn whatever interests you.

I have worked as a guitar and piano teacher in primary schools and music schools for almost 10 years and have had experience teaching students of all age groups and skill levels. I hold a current Working with Children’s Check.

Guitar lessons cover:

-Learning how to play basic chords.
-Favourite songs, movie themes, etc.
-How to hold the guitar and posture.
-Reading music.
-Introduction to scales and theory.
-Preparation you for AMEB, CPM, or Rock band exams.

Lessons can be tailored to the needs of more advanced students who may be interested in jazz harmony, composition/arranging, songwriting or other advanced techniques.

Lessons cost $37 per half hour. I can travel to surrounding suburbs for an extra fee.
