I’m Victor Vu, a guitar instructor graduated from Conservatorium of Music, majoring in classical guitar performance. I offer one-to-one guitar lesson & music theory at studio in Croydon, Sydney NSW 2132.

GUITAR TUITION:
Provide quality guitar music lesson for all ages from complete beginner to intermediate and advanced level by a conservatory trained, experienced guitar instructor. Teaching AMEB syllabus and prepare grades examination, but I am happy to teach anyone who wishes to learn guitar for fun or for a personal hobby and pleasure.

Emphasis is highly set on classical guitar techniques and performance quality, notation reading ability, sight reading, aural skill and music theory. A comprehensive music collection and supporting studies materials are all available

TEACHING STYLE:
Teaching classical guitar technique which uses the fingernail or fingertips to pluck individual strings on a acoustical wooden guitar with 6 nylon strings as opposed to the metal strings used in acoustic and electric guitars. However, the teaching method used would be beneficial to anyone wanting to go on to play any style of music.

TEACHING METHOD:
I closely follow the methods and techniques from the world-renowed famous guitarists and composers:
Ferdinando Carulli (French 1770 – 1841)
Fernado Sor (Spanish 1778 – 1839)
Matteo Carcassi (French 1792 – 1853)
Francisco Tarrega (Spanish 1852 – 1909)
Julio Salvador Sagreras (Argentina 1879 – 1942)
Agustín Barrios Mangoré (Paraguayan 1885 – 1944)

MUSIC THEORY:
I teach music theory to a required level in accordance with AMEB syllabus.

WORK INVOLVED IN LESSON:
Review student’s progress in every lesson to make sure the student has reached the technical requirement for the pieces he/she is working on.
Explain what we learn next in the new pieces and the way you should practise it at home.
Teach you each new pieces thoroughly supported by handouts to take away.
Answer your questions.

We offer first lesson free for beginners. This is an opportunity for anyone who would consider taking guitar lesson to meet us for further discussion.

TUITION FEE:
$60 per hour.
