Guitar Lessons

We have teachers to cater for any and every different style and level of guitar. From beginner to advanced, from classical to heavy metal. It’s good to have variety with your electric guitar or acoustic guitar lessons.

We like to start with the basics, and work from a number of books based on age and interest to make sure you know and understand the fundamentals behind being a brilliant guitar player. Fundamentals like timing, rhythm, and how to read and understand musical theory. At the same time, we can teach you songs, how to write your own songs and riffs, and how to apply the fundamentals to your own playing style.

We can also put you through A.M.E.B. and Trinity Rockschool exams for guitar, and help you to be as prepared as possible when you attend. Castlerock has retained a 100% pass rate for the last 10 years.

Here at Castlerock, we understand that guitar is supposed to be fun. That’s why we make sure every lesson is a good mix of theory and fundamentals, and exciting new techniques and songs.

Once we feel you’re ready we can also help get you into a band through our highly successful and ever growing School of Rock programme, where we put children into bands, based on age and musical interest, and teach them how to write original songs, perform on stage, and how to communicate in a band situation.

Castlerock provides Electric and Acoustic Guitar Lessons at our Rockingham and Cockburn Central locations.

Castlerock Music Academy

Castlerock Music Academy offers the highest quality music tuition at prices everyone can afford.

Head of Education Tzudy Weir has been classically trained from the age of 8, to a grade 8 level on several Instruments and Music Theory through the London Royal College of Music, and has a Grade 8 and Diploma of Performance in singing through the A.M.E.B here in Australia. She also has a Diploma in Music through the Australian College of Music.

All of our teachers are professionally trained and monitored by either Tzudy or a member of her senior staff, who are all college lecturers with a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment. Castlerock is the only nationally accredited, full-time music education facility in the Peel area.

Lessons are taught in large, comfortable rooms with air-conditioning and state-of-the-art equipment to help create the best possible learning environment for all students. All of our teachers hold current Certificate qualifications in music and are either furthering their studies at WAAPA (West Australian Academy of Performing Arts) or at Castlerock through the Australian College of the Arts (Collarts).

All students are paired with teachers based on skill-level, personality and the desired learning outcome of the student, to ensure the highest level of development and musicianship.

Castlerock can help students prepare for A.M.E.B and Trinity College Rockschool exams. We currently have a 100% pass rate for every one of our students. Castlerock is also the South-West exam centre for the Trinity College Rockschool Exams.
