Beginner Guitar Lessons

Caitlin, is offering casual one on one private guitar lessons to primary school kids wishing to begin learning acoustic guitar.

Currently, Caitlin is a Year 12 student who has topped her year in Music 1, in Year 11 and utilises her 6 years guitar experience to teach and engage children in the joy of learning an instrument.

Students will learn how to: Identify the different parts of a guitar, play chords, various strumming and finger picking patterns, read guitar tabs as well as notation.

Lessons are tailored to students interest, teaching songs they like which will encourage them to practice. Students can ask to learn a specific song.

Lessons will commence at Caitlin’s house, offering 45 minutes or 1 hour. *Students will have to bring their own guitar to learn on.

Caitlin Royston

Caitlin is a Sydney-based guitarist. She is currently a year 12 student who continually succeeds in her Music 1 class, coming first in her grade for year 11, as well as consistently achieving 95%+ in her performance exams. She has been playing the guitar since she was young and has over 6 years experience.

Caitlin believes learning an instrument should be fun and enjoyable rather than stressful for the student – teaching students songs they enjoy listening to which will make them want to practice more, thus bettering their skills.
