A graduate of the Guitar Institute of Technology at Musicians Institute in Hollywood California, Alex Hughes has been a professional guitarist and music teacher for over eight years. He has had a wealth of experience having played for a wide range of projects from Disney, Universal Music and Dwight Kennedy Music Group to Omar Lopez of the Mars Volta and many others.
A new arrival to Melbourne, Alex is offering guitar instruction for guitar players looking to advance to the next level, from novices to advanced players. Topics can include everything and anything from advanced modes and harmony, music reading for the guitar, rhythmic playing, advanced and extended techniques and songwriting for instrumentalists.

Professional guitarist and music teacher. Graduate of the GIT program at Musicians Institute in California where he was awarded both the Carvin Scholarship and the Stanley Clarke Scholarship. Graduate of AIM Sydney. Over 19 years of playing experience. Has played for Disney, Universal, Omar Lopez of the Mars Volta.
